Description
Opalised wood is a form of petrified wood where the organic material has been replaced by opal (hydrated silica) rather than chalcedony or other minerals, often retaining the original tree’s grain, bark texture, and growth rings. While most opalised wood consists of common opal without play-of-colour, rare specimens contain precious opal, displaying iridescent flashes of red, green, blue, and violet.
This pendant measures 53mm x 23mm.
Pendants are sold with either a sterling silver or leather necklace to make your look your own.
