Black Sunstone

Description
Black Sunstone is a feldspar variety of the mineral oligoclase and belongs to the plagioclase feldspar group. The stone exhibits a distinct sheen, often referred to as the “aventurescence” effect, which is caused by tiny microscopic inclusions of hematite or goethite, creating an iridescent surface with multiple colors visible when it’s moved in the light. Black Sunstone also contains rare metallic copper inclusions that create small flashes of sparkles throughout its surface.
This pendant measures 43mm x 17mm.
Pendants are sold with either a sterling silver or leather necklace to make your look your own.
